Bocce enthusiasts and sports fans alike are eagerly anticipating the upcoming 2023 Senior Men’s and Women’s National Bocce Championships.
Sponsored and hosted by Club Marconi with supporting host clubs CSI Marconi, and Liverpool Catholic Club, this prestigious event promises a thrilling display of skill, camaraderie, and fierce competition as players from across Australia gather to showcase their talents. Participants from all over Australia will be heading to Sydney, NSW from June 9 – 12, 2023
One of the highlights of this year’s championships is the inclusion of the Special Olympics Bocce. Bocce Australia is proud to partner with Special Olympics Australia to support inclusion and celebrate the achievements of these exceptional athletes. The participation of Special Olympics Bocce in the Nationals marks the beginning of an all-inclusive national bocce championships, promoting unity and diversity within the sport.
Continuing the success of previous years, affiliated clubs have once again been invited to compete, offering players the opportunity to showcase their skills in a national elite competition. This event brings the bocce community together, fostering a sense of camaraderie and providing a platform to celebrate the sport.
The championships will feature 24 teams from all corners of Australia, competing in six bocce disciplines: Singles, Doubles, Triples, Bowl Throw, Precision Throw, and Progressive Throw. With a diverse range of talented players and teams, the competition is expected to be intense and captivating, delivering a memorable experience for both participants and spectators.
