1. How and why did you start playing Bocce?
I was a competitive squash player for 20 years but when my knees started to give, my husband Blazenko Kuscevic suggested to give bocce a go. Bocceeeee? I replied, that’s for old people! So, I gave it a go.
2. Which bocce event (singles/doubles/triples/throwing etc.) is your favourite to play, and why?
Singles. You make your own decisions, right or wrong, plus your concentration is better. Triples a great team event which helps your friendships grow.
3. How many medals have you won at the Nationals?
Four.
4. Which strengths do you believe you have that make you a champion bocce player?
I have drive and determination not to give up, even when I am behind.
5. Why are you so passionate about playing bocce?
I love competitiveness, plus catching up with all the players.
6. What are your major highlights and achievements in bocce in the past?
Winning singles and triples in 2018, and silver at the Oceanic Games in Melbourne 2019.
7. What do you believe is the greatest challenge most bocce players are facing today?
Being unable to play more competitions due to COVID-19.
8. Is there a coach or bocce player that you looked up to when you first started playing as a role model, and why?
My husband Blazenko because he has such motivation and passion to drive me to be a better player.
9. How do you prepare to compete in the Nationals?
I work on my fitness. I also do some mediation to be positive. And no matter what happens, I always try my best.
10. What one word describes you?
Athletic.

1. How and why did you start playing Bocce?
I used to play raffa bocce. Then in 1982 I was introduced to bocce and never looked back.
2. Which bocce event (singles/doubles/triples/throwing etc.) is your favourite to play, and why?
Singles, because you are in control of your own game. I also like triples because it’s a team decision.
3. How many medals have you won at the Nationals?
Five.
4. Which strengths do you believe you have that make you a champion bocce player?
I believe I am pretty good at reading the bocce grounds and I never give up.
5. Why are you so passionate about playing bocce?
I like the competitiveness.
6. What are your major highlights and achievements in bocce in the past?
Winning six state singles.
7. What do you believe is the greatest challenge most bocce players are facing today?
Younger players not taking up the sport.
8. Is there a coach or bocce player that you looked up to when you first started playing as a role model, and why?
My favourite was Quinto Ribberi, as a person and a player.
9. How do you prepare to compete in the Nationals?
Training, bonding with your teammates, and supporting each other.
10. What one word describes you?
Organiser.
