Special recognition goes to Max Tricarico and Michael Pevere, whose exceptional performances brought home two bronze medals for Australia. Their hard work, dedication, and passion for the sport have truly paid off. Along with teammates Aaron O’Callaghan, Melissa Danelutti, and Chiara Tomasi, they showcased Australia’s talent on the bocce international stage, making us all proud.
These achievements highlight the success of the Bocce Australia Junior Development Plan, which has helped these athletes grow in skill and confidence. The development of our junior athletes is a result of years of effort, commitment and specialised training, with the guidance of coaches Kerrie Reitano and David Pevere, supported by Bocce Australia delegate Sonia Fava.
We also extend our thanks to referee Vanessa Allegretto, who was called up by FIB to referee at the championships, and Samuel Pevere, who volunteered as Social Media Coordinator. A huge thank you to all the families, volunteers, and supporters who played a vital role in making this success possible.
This milestone marks a bright future for bocce in Australia, and with the talent of this team and the broader junior squad, we are certain this is just the beginning. Congratulations to everyone involved — our athletes, coaches, and supporters. Here’s to continued success and growth for bocce sport.
Well done Team Australia, and go Aussies!
