Bocce Australia is pleased to announce the newly appointed sector leads for 2023-24.
These elite individuals have been chosen for their passion and commitment to bocce sport, and for their desire to enhance the volunteer base of the sport.
The sector leads for 2023-24 are:
- Junior Development – Linda Chiandotto
- Special Olympics (Bocce ) – Michael Migliaccio
- Volunteer Coordinator – Angela Sirianni
- Social Digital Media – Max Tricarico
- Officiating and Chief Referee (Volo) – Joe Maselli
- Bocce(Raffa) – Chief Referee and Development – Franco Fava
- National Coaching Director – Antonio Biancacci (interim)
- Tournament Director Assistant – Mary Massena.
Other sector roles yet to be filled are the Sponsorship Director, Operations Director, Player Advocacy, Merchandise Coordinator, and Events Director.
Bocce Australia is dedicated to supporting its volunteers to enable more people to volunteer in Bocce and to enhance their volunteering experience. The sector leads will play a vital role in achieving this goal by collaborating with volunteers and clubs across the nation.

Sport volunteering is for everyone and is linked to a wide range of health, social, and community benefits.
Bocce Australia recognises the importance of volunteers in the delivery of bocce sport in Australia. With an estimated 2.9 million Australians volunteering in sport annually, volunteers are the heart of the sport sector and are respected and recognised for their critical role in playing sports every week of the year.
The newly appointed sector leads for 2023-24 are the backbone of bocce sport, and their contributions will be essential to ensuring that bocce sport continues to thrive in Australia.
